Bumble and Bloom have partnered to provide a free curated online trauma support programme to Bumble’s global community of survivors who have experienced sexual assault or relationship abuse. Through this programme, Bloom is offering a range of services for Bumble users healing from their experience of sexual abuse or assault. This includes free access to Bloom’s self-guided library of resources created by survivors and trauma-informed therapists, and opportunities for interactive 1:1 online chat with course facilitators.
Bloom is a remote trauma support service from Chayn, a global charity supporting survivors of abuse across borders. Bloom informs and empowers survivors by offering remote courses that combine the insights of survivors globally on trauma and gender-based violence with therapeutic practices to heal from trauma. It was built to address the barriers many survivors face in accessing mental health support, such as cost, stigma, inaccessibility, privacy, and safety, and has already supported over 1000 participants from 40+ countries. All Bloom courses are trauma-informed and intersectional. The courses are written by survivors, allies, mental-health support workers, and therapists.
Bumble, the women-first dating and networking app, was founded by CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd in 2014. Bumble connects people across dating (Bumble Date), friendship (Bumble BFF), and professional networking (Bumble Bizz). No matter the type of relationship, women Make the First Move on Bumble. Bumble is built on the importance of equitable relationships, which are crucial to a healthy, happy life. The platform is built around kindness, respect, and equality – and their community plays an important part in upholding this. Bumble holds users accountable for their actions and has zero tolerance for hate, aggression, or bullying. Bumble is free and available worldwide on the App Store and Google Play.
Bloom is brought to you by Chayn, a global non-profit, run by survivors and allies from around the world, creating resources to support the healing of survivors of gender-based violence.
